What the role involves
- Work with the English department to support pupils through 1:1 intervention, small-group academic support, and targeted help with reading, writing, analysis, and exam preparation.
- Develop the classroom presence and subject knowledge needed for the next step into teacher training.
- Build pupil confidence.
Skills and requirements
- Degree – A 2:2 or above in English, English Literature, Creative Writing, or a related subject.
- Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
- Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.

- Initial salary £85 - £100 per day – QTS - £32,916 annual salary.
