ERT Operative Level 1 focuses on implement chapter 8-compliant traffic management in line with cps policies, method statements, risk assessments, and industry standards.

What the role involves

• Implement Chapter 8-compliant traffic management in line with CPS policies, method statements, risk assessments, and industry standards.
• Take due care of CPS property, including tablets, vehicles, and radios.

Skills and requirements

• UK Driving Licence, minimum Category C (LGV Class 2).
• 12AB for Static Temporary Traffic Management on High-Speed Roads and All Purpose Trunk Road (APTR) network.
• Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Highways Maintenance.
• Traffic Management Foreman (TMF) qualification.

Confirmed role details

• Expected to work on a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, rotating equally between four day shifts and four night shifts.

Additional role context

• 05:00 to 17:00, including two 30-minute breaks.
• Reasonable level of travel around the M25 network and between depots.
• Minor civil engineering or building tasks (e.g., headwall repair).
