Experienced ALN Teaching Assistant
Job description
The Teaching Assistant position in Additional Learning Needs centres on providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ALN. It would suit someone who can bring patient, consistent, and calm in a learner-focused classroom setting to the role.
Who the work supports
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Exposure to a wide range of learning needs and teaching strategies.
How support shows up
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ALN. Work closely with the class teacher and SEN staff to support pupils who require additional help to access learning, while also contributing to the wider classroom environment. Assisting with lesson delivery and classroom organisation.

What needs to be in place
- Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
- Opportunity to develop specialist ALN experience.
- All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
