Export Operator

Our client an international Logistics provider with offices all around the country and currently they have an opportunity at their Essex office based just outside of Basildon for a European Export Operator.  The role will be dealing with European and UK Road freight Exports.  You will be working within a large Export department, being part of a wider team within the office Handling European groupage services.

Purpose of the role:

To manage the European Groupage Road freight operations from point of collection to final delivery

Duties will include:

·      Arranging movement of freight from origin to final destination, both international and within the UK

·      Liaising with customers, overseas partners and suppliers.

·      Calculating costs for customer

·      Working out charges 

·      Updating the system.

·      Keeping customers updated with regards to their deliveries.

To be successful for the role you will need to have a good understanding of European road freight operations with good customer service skills.  You will be 

able to work in a team but also be self-sufficient and be confident with your own workload.

Monday to Friday - 9am-5pm.

Requirements

Experience required:

·      Experience within European Road freight operations

·      Understanding of taxable kilos.

·      Experience with EU Customs paperwork.

·      Previously experience of working within a freight forwarders
