Job description

The Extra Care Scheme Manager position centres on managing tenancy-related queries, including signposting to external services where needed. It would suit someone who can bring encourage involvement in scheme activities andmunity events, ensuring a positive environment for resident engagement to the role.

Where the work sits

Good understanding of tenancy/housing management related legislation and best practice. Option to be paid PAYE or Umbrella.

How the role works day to day

Managing tenancy-related queries, including signposting to external services where needed. Carry out morning welfare checks for tenants who require, and promote independent living across the scheme. Overseeing health and safetypliance, including building checks, fire safety and accurate record keeping.

Practical details

  • This temporary position is for a minimum of 8–10 weeks (extension tbc).
  • Minimum 8-10 week contract with ASAP starts.
  • Additional detail: Weekly pay may be available.

What needs to be in place

  • Clear Enhanced Adults Only DBS preferably on the update service.
  • Recent experience in a housing and tenancy management role, ideally having worked within a retirement/extra care scheme environment.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding processes and health & safetypliance requirements within social housing.
