EYFS Lead Teacher focuses on planning, preparing and teaching engaging lessons tailored to pupils’ individual needs.

What the role involves

  • Planning, preparing and teaching engaging lessons tailored to pupils’ individual needs.
  • Leading by example to secure high standards of behaviour, motivation and achievement.
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, using data to inform planning and target‑setting.
  • Reporting to parents and contributing to school improvement processes.
  • Working collaboratively with support staff and colleagues across the school.

Skills and requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an ECT.
  • Recent successful teaching experience in EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and understanding of high‑quality teaching and learning.
  • Ability to teach pupils of all abilities and use ICT effectively in lessons.

  • MPS - UPS - £32,916 - £51,048 FTE + TLR2A allowance available for the right candidate.
  • This is a permanent position working 1.0 FTE, 39 weeks per year (Monday to Friday).
  • Our popular school is situated in in the Blackdown Hills in a beautiful rural location which is within easy reach of the M5.
