EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant focuses on providing one-to-one support to a student with special educational needs, helping them stay engaged and feel supported in lessons.

What the role involves

• Providing one-to-one support to a student with special educational needs, helping them stay engaged and feel supported in lessons.
• Building positive relationships to encourage confidence, independence, and progress.
• Supporting the class teacher with daily activities and maintaining a calm, inclusive classroom.
• Demonstrates understanding of various needs from mild to complex.
• Following detailed EHCPs and working closely with the SENCO.
• Work across EYFS to KS2.

Skills and requirements

• Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.

Confirmed role details

• Start Date: As soon as possible.
• Full-time, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
• Wayman Education are looking for SEND Teaching Assistants to join a friendly, supportive, and inclusive Primary school in Haringey.
• This is a long-term position working with a student who has additional learning needs and can display challenging behaviour.
