EYFS TEACHING ASSISTANT
Teaching Assistant focuses on supporting children aged 3–5 years within nursery and reception classes.
What the role involves
- Supporting children aged 3–5 years within nursery and reception classes.
- Supporting children with phonics, early reading, mark making, and number recognition.
- Helping children develop communication, social, and emotional skills.
- Providing one-to-one and small group support, including for children with additional needs.
- Observing children’s progress and feeding back to teaching staff.
- Supporting children with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
Skills and requirements
- Experience working with children (EYFS experience preferred).
- A strong awareness of safeguarding and child protection.
- The ability to build positive relationships with children and staff.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
