EYFS Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA)
Teaching Assistant focuses on supporting the class teacher in delivering eyfs lessons and activities.
What the role involves
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering EYFS lessons and activities.
- Work with individual children and small groups to support learning.
- Assisting with phonics, early numeracy, literacy, and creative play.
- Promote positive behaviour, self-confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
- Supporting children with personal care when required (toileting, meals, dressing).
- Record children’s development in line with EYFS expectations.
Skills and requirements
- Experience working in an EYFS, nursery, or early years setting.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification.
- Paediatric First Aid or Safeguarding training.

- £85–£105 per day (dependent on experience).
