EYFS Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA)

This Teaching Assistant opportunity is built around supporting the class teacher in delivering EYFS lessons and activities. It would suit someone who can bring confident supporting children with varying abilities and needs to the role.

Why this role may suit you

Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification. The EYFS TA will work with children aged 3–5 years, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and academically in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Learning support involved

Supporting the class teacher in delivering EYFS lessons and activities. Work with individual children and small groups to support development. Assisting with phonics, early numeracy, literacy, and creative play.

Education skills and requirements

• Experience working in an EYFS, nursery, or early years setting.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Paediatric First Aid or Safeguarding training.

Practical information

• Full-time / Part-time / Term-time only.
• Pay: £85–£105 per day.
