Facilities Intern focuses on stage 2 – data collation conduct a thorough review of existing assets and new assets purchased through the recap project.

What the role involves

  • Stage 2 – Data Collation Conduct a thorough review of existing assets and new assets purchased through the RECAP project.
  • Stage 3 – Document Creation Develop a comprehensive, single-source Facilities Capability Document for use by multiple departments.
  • This will include updated site drawings, equipment capability summaries, and manufacturing process information.
  • Stage 4 – Presentation Present the completed document and findings to key stakeholders.
  • Build insight into interdepartmental relationships within a shipbuilding organisation.

Skills and requirements

  • Year 1 or Year 2 undergraduate studying Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
