Support Worker focuses on supporting your client to safely lead a fulfilling and more independent life by.

What the role involves

  • Supporting your client to safely lead a fulfilling and more independent life by.
  • Provide practical support for your client and their family, such as helping with personal care, household tasks and paperwork.
  • Assisting and encourage your client to engage in everyday home, social, leisure and work activities, according to the individual's choice.
  • Monitor your client's healthcare needs, including administering medication and other clinical tasks.
  • Keeping accurate, up to date records of all the care you provide.
  • Work positively with other professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to ensure consistency of support.

Skills and requirements

  • Clean driving licence and willingness to drive the clients adapted vehicle.
  • Previous experience of complex care and/or spinal cord injuries.
  • Female applicants only, in line with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 & Equality Act 2010.

Confirmed role details

  • 24 hours - Alternate weeks Friday & Sunday.
  • £15.00 per hour weekday waking night rate.
  • £1.00 per hour less during probationary period.
