What the role involves

• Supporting Lara to access activities within the family home and out in the community. She is keen to get cooking and baking and enjoys being creative.
• Provide IT assistance with her eye gaze technology.
• Supporting with Lara's interest in Vlogging and Blogging.
• Work collaboratively with Lara’s family and Case Manager.
• The suitability of all prospective employees or workers will be assessed during the recruitment process in line with this commitment.
• Enhanced DBS check (A conviction will not necessarily prevent employment).

Skills and requirements

• Vehicle use: Will be using Lara’s wheelchair adapted vehicle, automatic. You must be confident to drive the accessible vehicle to apply for this role.
• Lara is outgoing and bubbly and would like to get involved in a myriad of activities and experiences with her Support Workers.
• Lara uses an eye gaze very efficiently to communicate and is able to access her environment using the eye gaze.

Confirmed role details

• SO21, Hampshire (between Eastleigh and Winchester).
• Live-in Support Worker: 10am Saturdays -10am Mondays - these hours can be shared by more than 1 person and could be worked every other weekend. Some weekends may require a Friday e.
• School Holiday Support Worker: Weekdays and/ or nights in school holidays from 8am-6pm, 6pm-8am, Monday to Friday but hours can vary depending on activities.
• 5.6 weeks holiday (pro rata).

Candidate fit

• Time or part-time hours we would welcome your application.
• National Living Wage/National Minimum Wage per hour for Sleeping Nights when required (currently £12.71 for aged 21+).
