Field Communications Engineer
Field Communications Engineer focuses on using supplier portals to manage systems and faults.
What the role involves
- Using Supplier Portals to manage systems and faults.
- Responsible for generating, monitoring, and handling customer requests, issues, and fault reports.
- Provide liaison and guidance to customers and 3rd party IT professionals to ensure quality delivery.
Skills and requirements
- Understanding of VoIP, SIP, RTP, TCP & UDP protocols, Layer 2 and 3 routing, VLANs, QoS DNS, DHCP, LANs & WANs and familiarity with using diagnostics tools such as Wireshark.
- Minimum of 2 years IT or Telecoms support experience.
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments requiring teamwork and flexibility.
- Knowledge of structured cabling - CAT5/6.
