Field Service Engineer
Field Service Engineer focuses on instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system.
What the role involves
- Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system.
- Evaluate systems and make recommendations for improvements and solutions.
- Carry out preventative maintenance on customer sites in line with recommended procedures.
- Talk with customers and understand their needs, communicating the requirements and timeline for their system plan.
- Work with a team to ensure projects are completed effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain industrial testing equipment, sometimes on short notice.
Skills and requirements
- Educated to a minimum NVQ level 2/BTEC in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent. An HNC in a relevant subject and knowledge in vibration would be a distinct advantage.
- Experienced in industrial plant maintenance and have a strong background in engineering and substantial knowledge of electro-mechanical engineering.
- Proven experience in working in some or all of the following areas are essential: industrial electronic systems, mechanical fitting, fully conversant in electrical/electronic princ.
- Fault-finding to sub-assembly level and diagnosis of electronic faults to component level would be a distinct advantage.
