Finance Associate
Finance Associate focuses on supporting the finance team in producing monthly accounts, meeting deadlines, and adhering to ihg policies.
What the role involves
- Supporting the Finance team in producing monthly accounts, meeting deadlines, and adhering to IHG policies.
- Assist with billing and query resolution.
- Managing the Procurement System.
- Handling various Ad Hoc accounting requests as needed.
- Maintaining strong relationships with the finance and hotel teams, ensuring smooth operations and quick resolution of issues.
Skills and requirements
- An accounting qualification (AAT or equivalent) or relevant practical experience, with an interest in working towards a professional qualification is desired.
- Experience working with Head Office or Offshore Accounting functions (advantageous but not essential).
- A good understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit and Payroll - ideally within the hospitality industry.
- Experience using financial systems such as PeopleSoft, Opera/Micros, Procure Wizard and Oracle is preferred.
