Company

This is a growing PE backed education and training business based in south east London, but globally recognised. They support thousands of adults & juniors annually across several countries offering academic, professional and education training services.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a qualified high-calibre Finance Business Partner to join their finance department, and providing commercial and monthly reporting support.

Role

Reporting into the Finance Director, the Finance Business Partner will take ownership of preparation of monthly accounts (P&L, Balance Sheets, KPI's etc.) as well as business partnering to provide commercial insights to senior leadership. They will take on a number of key duties including:

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to provide financial insight, challenge and support decision-making.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting, tracking performance against KPIs and driving accountability across the business.
  • Deliver monthly management accounts, board packs and variance analysis, with clear, actionable commentary.
  • Monitor financial and operational performance, including revenue, costs, cash flow and debtor management.
  • Own cash flow reporting and working capital management, supporting effective cash collection.
  • Oversee month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
  • Manage day-to-day finance operations (AP/AR, invoicing, payments) ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Lead audit processes, VAT monitoring and compliance activities.
  • Support contract management, cost control and process improvements across the division.
  • Line management of a junior team member supporting with on-going development and day-to-day supervision.

Profile

The ideal profile for this Finance Business Partner position, should have the following:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or CIMA).
  • Proficiency within management accounts preparation and forecasting.
  • Strong evidence of business partnering and managing stakeholders.
  • Strong experience in owning P&L and cashflow forecasting.
  • Experience in the education sector would be beneficial.
  • Evidence of line management would be advantageous.
  • Experience working within a multi-site business environment would be advantageous.

£65,000 to £75,000 plus benefits:
