Finance Business Partner focuses on leading on configuration and administration of financial systems, ensuring compliance and optimisation.

What the role involves

  • Leading on configuration and administration of financial systems, ensuring compliance and optimisation.
  • Overseeing system upgrades, testing, and liaison with external providers.
  • Supporting the preparation and completion of Financial Statements, including audit coordination and compliance with Codes of Practice.
  • Ensure monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet control accounts (cash, debtors, creditors) and Police Pension accounts.
  • Maintain accurate cash flow forecasting.
  • Support to the Finance Officer (Trainee Accountant).

Skills and requirements

  • Experience with local authority accounting and systems administration.
  • Ability to write reports using Crystal or SQL to enhance financial reporting.
