Finance Manager
Job description
As a Finance Manager, the work centres on preparing additional reports and supporting schedules for quarterly reporting and the year end audit as well as supporting other key finance tasks such as VAT returns. It would suit someone who can bring strong professional approach to the role.
Where the work sits
Produce management accounts that are reviewed to highlight variances to budget/forecast; including accruals, prepayments, analysis of accounts and key P&L reconciliations. Analysis of monthly costs & investigation of variances to budget/forecast.
How the role works day to day
Prepare additional reports and supporting schedules for quarterly reporting and the year end audit as well as supporting other key finance tasks such as VAT returns. Investigate and report on significant variances against budget/forecast. Liaise with internal and external auditors & provide accurate & timely information to aid a smooth auditing process.

Practical details
- Assist with production of supporting schedules for annual statutory accounts & tax returns.
- Assist with preparation of annual budgets & monthly and quarterly forecasts.
- This is a hybrid role, based 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely.
- Work model: Hybrid.
What needs to be in place
- Experience of working with external auditors.
- Experience working within a high-volume business.
- We now have an opportunity for a qualified Finance Manager (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) to join our Management Accounts Team at Lancaster House in Leyland (Lancashire).
