Engineering work involved
Undertake independent review of fire engineering designs to ensure alignment with project requirements and applicable standards. Provide assurance on both fissile and non-fissile project designs, identifying risks, gaps and opportunities for improvement. Review fire strategies, calculations, and supporting documentation as part of the design assurance process.
Technical skills and requirements
- Produce clear, concise technical reports outlining findings, recommendations and required actions.
- Level 5 Diploma (or equivalent) in a fire-engineering.
- Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g. Institute of Fire Engineers).
