What the role involves

• Conduct mechanical assessments on GCU Vehicle & Plant, ascertain repair scope, damages, and required parts.
• Perform repairs and servicing on GCU-owned Vehicle & Plant.
• Complete Garage Repair, Service Sheets, and Defect Rectification.
• Conduct function tests on plant before issuing them to teams.
• Utilize the GCU Workshop Tagging System for proper storage and quarantine.
• Ensure safe use of workshop tools and chemicals.

Additional role context

• Mechanic to join our Glasgow Depot and play a crucial role in maintaining our Plant and Equipment.
• This move should be completed in June 2026.
• Keep GCU Vehicles, Plant and Equipment in optimal working condition, ensuring minimal interruptions for our Operational Teams due to mechanical breakdowns.
