Are you a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in a high-achieving secondary school in Liverpool? A fantastic school is seeking a committed professional to join their thriving Creative and Design Technology department. This role is suitable for both experienced practitioners and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position starting ASAP. You will teach Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of KS5 depending on experience. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and practical lessons, focusing on food preparation, nutrition, safety, and technical skills development. Students will also have opportunities to develop creative design projects, undertake competitions, and explore career pathways in the food and hospitality sector.

Responsibilities

• Teach Food Technology across KS3/4 (KS5 optional)
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons
• Develop students’ practical skills, theoretical knowledge, and creative abilities
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
• Support extracurricular food, cooking, and enterprise clubs

Experience and Qualifications

• Degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, or related discipline
• PGCE or QTS
• Experience teaching KS3/4 (KS5 desirable)
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• Enthusiastic, creative, and able to inspire students of all abilities
