Forestry Planner focuses on we are seeking a skilled forestry planner to support the preparation, coordination, and delivery of forestry management plans across a diverse portfolio of woodland assets.
What the role involves
- We are seeking a skilled Forestry Planner to support the preparation, coordination, and delivery of forestry management plans across a diverse portfolio of woodland assets.
- Manage Forest Management Plans, felling licences, and associated regulatory submissions.
- Liaise with Scottish Forestry and other statutory bodies to secure approvals.
- Supporting forest managers with planning input for harvesting, restocking, and long-term woodland objectives.
- Maintaining accurate spatial, operational, and planning data using GIS and forestry management systems.
- Contribute to grant applications and funding compliance, including the Scottish Forestry Grant Scheme.
Skills and requirements
- Field-based working as required) - £40,000 – £50,000 + Company Vehicle.
- All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for.
- Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
