Fork Lift Truck Driver – 4 on 4 off Shift

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for an experienced Forklift Truck Driver to work for a well established manufacturing business based in Leicestershire

This is expected to be a temp to perm position

The Job:

They are looking for a skilled and reliable Forklift Driver to join their team.

You will be responsible for operating a forklift to move materials, load and unload trucks.

You will have a number of other tasks and responsibilities to adhere to

• At the start - you will be required to undergo training to get up to speed.  This will be paid at a lower rate.
• Once you are signed off - you will move to their 4 on 4 off shift pattern
• This is 2 day shifts 0600:1800 and then 2 night shifts 1800:0600.
• Once you are on this shift - you will receive a 25% shift allowance
• Starting salary: £13ph but once you move to actual shift - its £16.25ph

The Person:

• You must have valid forklift certificates - operating either a Counterbalance, Reach or Clamp truck
• You must have proven experience of operating a forklift truck in a fast paced warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Have basic IT skills to operate hand scanners and internal computer system
• Happy to work 4 on 4 off shift pattern especially as this is 2 shifts on days then moving to 2 shifts on nights
• Access to own transport due to lack of public transport at certain shift times
