What the role involves

• Deliver high‑quality, engaging learning that enables learners to reach their potential.
• Ensure appropriate training plans are in place.
• Work with small learner groups in a structured, supportive environment.
• Develop and implement effective individual learning and training plans.
• Use a wide range of teaching methods to engage and motivate learners.
• Provide ongoing advice, guidance, and learner support.

Skills and requirements

• Support learners to develop essential skills, knowledge, confidence, and positive behaviours, helping them work towards long‑term goals and sustainable progression beyond custody.
• Level 5 qualified Teacher (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE, DET, or equivalent).
• Level 3 Functional Skills qualification in English and Maths.
• Relevant experience delivering Functional Skills provision.

Confirmed role details

• Permanent | Full‑time.
• Monday - Thursday: 7:45am - 5:00pm.
• Friday: 7:45am - 12:30pm.
