Role overview

Functional Skills Tutor focuses on teaching english and mathematics functional skills qualifications at levels 1 and 2. Motivate a caseload of learners to ensure they successfully complete their learning on time.

Learning support involved

Provide engaging Onsite and remote teaching support. Ensure the learner’s e-portfolio is updated with evidence of learning, achievement, feedback, communication attempts and show the learning plan. Preparing and use suitable teaching and learning materials which consider differentiation and individual learning styles.

Education skills and requirements

• Relevant teaching qualification , PTLLS, CTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE or DTLLS.
• Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.

Job details

• Support Functional Skills delivery as part of the Royal Logistic Corps Army Apprenticeship contract with the MoD however, your role isn't just limited to one contract.
• Experience of providing face to face and remote support to learners using a range of delivery methods.
