General Operative

General Operative focuses on as an integral part of our team you will work alongside our foremans and supervisors with the rest of the team to ensure we carry out our works safely and effectively.

What the role involves

• As an integral part of our team you will work alongside our Foremans and Supervisors with the rest of the team to ensure we carry out our works safely and effectively.
• Setting up pedestrian barriers.
• Attending training including competence related safety training, induction, start of work briefings (including SSRA & RAMS briefings) and refreshers applying those learned safe wor.
• Picking up and delivering products using a forklift (training given).
• Trained to operate handheld tools (disc cutter, Whackers).
• General housekeeping -keeping yard open space, internal storage area clean and tidy free from hazards.

Skills and requirements

• Minimum of 7.5 Tonne Licence but HGV Preferred.
• Winter Maintenance Qualification Preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team and willing to learn.
• Driving license with access to a vehicle would be beneficial.
