Generator Engineer focuses on repair work on generators both on customer sites and within the depot.

What the role involves

• Repair work on generators both on customer sites and within the depot.
• Fault finding across control panels and AC/DC electrical systems.
• Liaising directly with customers and maintaining strong working relationships.
• Completing daily vehicle defect reports and ensuring company vehicle roadworthiness.
• Completing all associated paperwork including service sheets and PDI documentation.

Skills and requirements

• NVQ in Plant Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Previous experience within the generator or plant hire industry.
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience.
• Manage service schedules effectively.

Confirmed role details

• £17.50 per hour based on a 39-hour week (£35,490 basic salary).
• Overtime paid at 1.5x (£26.25 per hour).
• Call Out Rota (1 in 4).
• Realistic OTE: £47,000 - £55,000+.
