What the role involves
- Supervising ground investigations, including drilling, sampling and in-situ testing.
- Manage site activities while ensuring high standards of quality control and full compliance with H&S requirements.
- Preparing geotechnical and chemical testing schedules.
- Liaise effectively with contractors, project managers, internal teams and clients throughout project lifecycles.
Skills and requirements
- Degree in geology, earth science, environmental science or similar background.
- Competent in logging soils and rocks in accordance with BS5930.
- A good understanding of health and safety management for ground investigation works (e.g. CDM).
- Experience preparing desk studies, coal mining risk assessments and factual elements of ground investigation reports.
