This GOSH Band 6 Neurosciences Ward role with Great Ormond Street Hospital is focused on supporting young children through safe routines, learning activities, and shift-by-shift care. It would suit someone who can bring warm, reliable, and clear in communication to the role.

Role overview

Koala ward is a 24 bedded state-of-the-art children’s ward caring for children 0-16 years of age with neurosurgical, neurological, and craniofacial conditions. Possum ward is a brand new 8 bedded neurosciences unit opening in December 2023.

Main responsibilities

Supporting young children through safe routines, learning activities, and shift-by-shift care.

Warm, reliable, and clear in communication.

Requirements

  • Relevant nursing qualification with 2-3 years post-graduation experience.
  • Assessor or practice supervisor qualification/experience is desirable.
  • Experience of working with acute/chronically sick children or specialised transferrable skills.

  • NMC-registered band 6 nurses to join a well-established team at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
  • Type: Full Time/Permanent (Part Time hrs considered).
  • Between£42,471 – £50,364 per annum inclusive (depending on experience).
  • A minimum of 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
