Graduate Speech & Language Teaching Assistant focuses on delivering one-to-one and small group interventions to support speech, language and communication development.
What the role involves
- Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions to support speech, language and communication development.
- Supporting students with identified Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).
- Assisting students in accessing learning across the curriculum.
- Work closely with teachers, SEND staff and external professionals to implement support strategies.
- Monitoring student progress.
- Encourage confidence, engagement and positive participation within lessons.
Skills and requirements
- Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.
