The Job position centres on we have our own film studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd. It would suit someone who can bring curious and confident in exploring tools like Houdini and Embergen (or similar) to build flipbook simulations to the role.

Who the work supports

22 days holidays + Christmas closure (typically 4 days) & Bank holidays (increasing with service at 5 years – one day each year until you reach 31 days). For 30 years we’ve been creating incredible video games at our multiple studios, but Rebellion is more than just games.

How support shows up

We have our own film studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd. Contribute to the creation of real-time visual effects, working from clear briefs and inspiring references. Preparing source assets, textures, flipbooks, and meshes, ready for use in particle systems.

The approach that fits

Curious and confident in exploring tools like Houdini and Embergen (or similar) to build flipbook simulations.

What needs to be in place

  • An understanding of 2D particle texture creation techniques and how they bring effects to life in real time.
  • Any extra experience, whether from game jams, mods, internships, or professional projects, as well as familiarity with source control systems, will be seen as a valuable bonus.
