Grounds Operative focuses on general horticultural and grounds maintenance work, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, planting and pruning.

What the role involves

• General horticultural and grounds maintenance work, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, planting and pruning.
• Maintenance of parks, open spaces and nursery areas.
• Cleaning and upkeep of facilities such as changing tooms, public toilets etc.
• Supporting construction and site preparation works as a labourer.
• Setting out and marking sports pitches and areas.
• Erecting and dismantling sports and event equipment.

Confirmed role details

• 37 hours per week.
• Type: On-going temporary role.
• This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining community spaces, and can work flexibly, in line with seasonal demands.
