GSE/Technician focuses on carry out repair and maintenance of gse and associated vehicles in line with company standards and manufacturer guidelines.

What the role involves

  • Carry out repair and maintenance of GSE and associated vehicles in line with company standards and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Communicate required work and parts to the Workshop Supervisor before commencing repairs.
  • Complete inspections, brake tests and smoke tests, identifying and reporting defects prior to repair.
  • Ensure all job cards and inspection sheets are completed accurately to the current stage of repair, including non-productive time.
  • Update the Workshop Supervisor promptly on additional work, parts requirements or vehicle-on-road (VOR) issues.
  • Ensure all parts are correctly booked using the provided systems and iPad.

Skills and requirements

  • Proven experience in vehicle maintenance, ideally within GSE, LGV or HGV environments.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose.
  • Electrical and hydraulic experience (desirable).
  • Level 3 Motor Mechanics qualification (LGV).
