GSE/HGV Technician
GSE/Technician focuses on carry out repair and maintenance of gse and associated vehicles in line with company standards and manufacturer guidelines.
What the role involves
- Carry out repair and maintenance of GSE and associated vehicles in line with company standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Communicate required work and parts to the Workshop Supervisor before commencing repairs.
- Complete inspections, brake tests and smoke tests, identifying and reporting defects prior to repair.
- Ensure all job cards and inspection sheets are completed accurately to the current stage of repair, including non-productive time.
- Update the Workshop Supervisor promptly on additional work, parts requirements or vehicle-on-road (VOR) issues.
- Ensure all parts are correctly booked using the provided systems and iPad.
Skills and requirements
- Proven experience in vehicle maintenance, ideally within GSE, LGV or HGV environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose.
- Electrical and hydraulic experience (desirable).
- Level 3 Motor Mechanics qualification (LGV).
