What the role involves

• Develop the Hard Services team, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.
• Overseeing the delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and lifecycle activities across mechanical, electrical, and building fabric systems.
• Ensure full statutory compliance across all hard services disciplines, including HVAC, electrical systems, fire safety, and associated infrastructure.
• Act as the technical authority for engineering compliance, supporting adherence to nuclear site standards, HSE legislation, and quality procedures.
• Managing specialist subcontractors and Tier 2 suppliers, ensuring all works are completed safely, professionally, and in accordance with site procedures.
• Drive performance against contractual KPIs and service level agreements.

Skills and requirements

• Proven experience managing engineering or hard services operations within a facilities management, industrial, utilities, manufacturing, or critical environment.
• Electrical or Mechanical qualification (or equivalent technical background).
• Sound knowledge of statutory compliance, health & safety legislation, and safe systems of work.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and operational performance.
