Job description
Head of Corporate Partnerships
Barnardo's is looking for an ambitious, strategic and inspiring Head of Corporate Partnerships to lead one of our most important fundraising portfolios at a time of real opportunity and growth. This is a senior leadership role for someone who knows how to build high-value partnerships, lead high-performing teams and unlock long-term income and impact.
You will lead the strategic management of our corporate partnerships portfolio, currently worth £8m+, with a clear ambition to grow it to £12m+ by 2029/30. You will oversee both partnership development and account management, helping shape bold, collaborative and values-led relationships that deliver income, influence, volunteering, gifts in kind, pro bono support and wider social impact.
This is a role for a confident leader who can operate at pace, spot growth opportunities, build strong external networks and work across a complex organisation to bring the very best of Barnardo's to our partners. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Fundraising, Marketing, Children's Services, Finance, Communications and leadership teams, ensuring our partnerships are strategically aligned, brilliantly delivered and built for the long term.
You will also lead and inspire a talented team, creating a culture that is ambitious, collaborative, externally focused and committed to excellence. From driving new business and strengthening stewardship, to improving ways of working and embedding a strong operating model, you will play a central role in helping Barnardo's grow corporate support in a way that is sustainable, innovative and deeply connected to our mission.
We are looking for someone with a strong track record of delivering and exceeding corporate partnership income targets, leading successful teams, developing strategic growth plans and managing complex, high-value relationships. You will bring commercial awareness, strong judgement, excellent influencing skills and the ability to translate strategy into results. Experience of due diligence, risk assessment and contract negotiation will also be important in this role.
Most of all, we are looking for someone who shares Barnardo's commitment to children and young people, and who can lead with purpose, empathy and ambition.
If you are ready to shape the future of corporate partnerships at one of the UK's leading children's charities, we would love to hear from you.
