Head of Engineering

This Head of Engineering role in Computer Science is focused on partner with our product managers to identify customer needs and market opportunities, translating them into technical strategies and actionable roadmaps. It would suit someone who can bring careful technical judgement and practical problem-solving to the role.

Using novel AI, we are revolutionising the publishing industry and have a track record of building things that others have ruled out as impossible. We’re looking for a Head of Engineering to lead.

Main responsibilities

Partner with our product managers to identify customer needs and market opportunities, translating them into technical strategies and actionable roadmaps. Maintaining a strong and continuous focus on increasing development speed & optimisation costs. Proactively mentor engineers, sharing knowledge and driving the team forward with a hands-on approach. Help them grow by guiding on real-world problem solving.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a top-tier university.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience, of which minimum 3 years managing engineering teams in fast paced environments where development speed is key.
• Natural leader who earns trust with a collaborative, yet persuasive style with excellent organisational, analytical and influencing skills.
