Head of Finance and Operations focuses on leading all aspects of financial strategy, planning, reporting, and control.

What the role involves

• Leading all aspects of financial strategy, planning, reporting, and control.
• Overseeing statutory compliance, governance, and company secretarial responsibilities.
• Develop the Finance & Operations team, fostering a high‑performance and supportive culture.
• Managing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, balance sheet control, and year‑end processes.
• Overseeing key operational areas including IT strategy, contracts, suppliers, and risk management.
• Supporting funding negotiations and reporting with Arts Council England and other stakeholders.

Skills and requirements

• Fully qualified accountant with significant senior finance leadership experience.
• Proven experience operating at SMT or Board level in a complex organisation.
• Confident leader with experience developing teams and managing change.

Confirmed role details

• £65,000 - £75,000 depending on experience (relocation support considered).
• Pension: 5% employer contribution with salary exchange option.
• Holiday: 30 days including Bank Holidays, rising to 33 days, plus discretionary Christmas leave.

Additional role context
