As a Head of IT and Learning Technologies, the work centres on supporting curriculum and service areas in the delivery of the College strategy, strategic action plans and departmental business plans. It would suit someone who can bring strong leadership and operational judgement to the role.

What the work leans on

Is responsible for agreeing and achieving targets in relation to EDI, curriculum planning, quality, finance, people and corporate services. Significant technical skills across a variety of different infrastructure, network and security technologies.

Where the technical work sits

• Supporting curriculum and service areas in the delivery of the College strategy, strategic action plans and departmental business plans.
• Leading the IT Team to collaborate with academic and support staff to implement and continuously review the needs of staff and students.
• Managing the performance of all staff within the department.

Technical requirements

• Line management experience in a technical environment.
• Significant experience of working in an IT environment.
• Detailed knowledge of current Cyber Security threats and mitigations.
