• Ensuring effective revenue budget monitoring, validation and reporting throughout the year.
• Supporting the closure of accounts to revenue stage, working closely with Corporate Accounts to deliver statutory statements and external audit.
• Strong track record in revenue budget setting, monitoring and forecasting, including MTFS development.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate high‑performing finance teams.

Skills and requirements

• Significant experience in a senior finance leadership role within local government or a comparable complex public‑sector environment.
• Experience presenting to and engaging effectively with Elected Members and senior stakeholders.
• A recognised professional accountancy qualification (CIPFA preferred or equivalent).

• Money on offer: £63,280 per annum plus service manager special allowance of £5,769 per annum.
