Head of Science focuses on delivering engaging and effective science lessons across ks3 and ks4.

What the role involves

• Delivering engaging and effective Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Monitoring and improve student progress and attainment across the department.
• Promote inclusive teaching practices, particularly for students with SEN.
• Model outstanding professional standards and contribute to the wider school community.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven track record of delivering ‘good’ or better teaching and strong student outcomes.

Confirmed role details

• Head of Science (Full Time).
• All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
• In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Additional role context

• Play a key role in driving standards across the Science department, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 and supporting students of all abilities to achieve success at GCSE level.
• Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner for the right candidate).
