Health & Safety Advisor focuses on implement the project h&s strategy set by leadership, ensuring legal, contractual and procedural compliance.

What the role involves

  • Implement the project H&S strategy set by leadership, ensuring legal, contractual and procedural compliance.
  • Provide clear advice, guidance, monitoring and reporting to project teams on all HSE duties, legislation, risks and safe practices.
  • Supporting site teams with planning, risk assessments, method statements, audits (internal/external), and compliance with HSE systems and standards.
  • Delivering training (inductions, toolbox talks, briefings).
  • Maintain a visible site presence to coach and improve performance.
  • Ensure timely reporting, corrective actions and shared learning.

Skills and requirements

  • This role requires shift work.
  • Construction and civil engineering industry experience and in particular CDM 2015.
  • A detailed knowledge of the risk assessment process.
  • Experience of deep foundations, piling techniques and processes.
