What the role involves
- Ensure business compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all associated Regulations applicable to Abel & Cole.
- Maintain the company’s Health & Safety policy (including statement of intent, organisational H&S roles and responsibilities and general H&S management arrangements).
- Maintaining and improve the company’s H&S management system(s) in line with legislative requirements, company policies and best practice.
- Manage risk assessments across multiple sites and teams ranging from Operations Warehousing to home delivery.
- Manage the operational safety performance of the company.
- Manage a regular audit, inspection, monitoring and reporting program across all business sites and depots.
Skills and requirements
- Proven track record of leading on change and improving H&S culture and performance.
