Who we’re looking for
Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or equivalent level of experience
NQ–5 PQE
Experience advising on health and welfare proceedings in the Court of Protection
Familiarity with the Mental Capacity Act 2005
Previous experience working under a legal aid contract
Strong IT and case management system skills What you’ll be doing
Advising and representing clients in Court of Protection health and welfare proceedings
Visiting clients in care settings and delivering clear, empathetic legal advice
Drafting court applications and managing files with ongoing risk assessment
Attending and representing at hearings
Ensuring cases meet Legal Aid Agency and Law Society standards
Managing files efficiently to meet WIP and billing targets
Delegating to and supervising junior team members
Supporting business development and marketing of the department’s work Salary & Benefits
