HGV Class 1 Driver

The HGV Class 1 Driver position centres on no more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions. It would suit someone who can bring dependable and self-motivated on the road to the role.

Role overview

You should hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (We will consider New Pass Drivers). Fully paid DCPC training and reimbursement of statutory HGVDriver Medical and Eye Tests up to the value of £100.

Main responsibilities

No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions. 28 Days paid Holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays (An additional 6 days leave after 5 years service). Death in service, 2 x basic salary after 12 months service, as long as youre a pension service member.

Job details

• On top of base salary our HGV Drivers will be entitled to £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance,and £25 per night out tax-free allowance.
• Weekend working may be required in line with business demand.
• We have increased our pay rates , with rates now ranging from £16.35 to £18.96 per hour , depending on shift.
• We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us at our depot in Goole to support our General Haulage operation, completing store and RDC deliveries across the region.
