HGV Driver focuses on carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring vehicles are maintained to required standards.

What the role involves

• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring vehicles are maintained to required standards.
• Ensuring all health and safety procedures and safe systems of work are followed.
• Supporting operational efficiency and service delivery across allocated routes.
• Reporting operational issues including missed bins, contamination, fly tipping and accidents.
• Communicating effectively with supervisors and operational teams.

Skills and requirements

• A current HGV Class C Licence with CPC qualification.
• Significant post-qualification driving experience.
• Experience driving waste collection vehicles.
• Strong understanding of health and safety responsibilities.

Confirmed role details

• Duration-Temporary Contract until January 2027.
• Leading a small crew of Loaders, you will ensure daily collections are completed safely, efficiently and to a high customer service standard.
