We are recruiting an HGV Escalation Technician for a senior, specialist position within a busy vehicle maintenance site in Corby. This role is suited to highly experienced technicians who lead on complex diagnostics, technical escalations, and advanced mechanical repairs.
The Role:
Lead advanced diagnostics on complex and non-standard faults
Act as the primary escalation point for technicians when repairs exceed standard diagnostic processes
Carry out and oversee high-level mechanical repairs including engines, gearboxes, and drivetrains
Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to workshop staff
Complete preventative maintenance inspections in line with DVSA standards
Conduct MOT inspections and quality control checks where required
Ensure accurate completion of all job cards and inspection documentation
Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship, and workshop organisation Experience & Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualification in HGV Maintenance
Minimum 5 years post-qualification HGV technician experience
Advanced diagnostic capability using Jaltest or manufacturer systems
Strong working knowledge of DVSA standards and compliance
Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability
Full UK Driving Licence Desirable:
IRTEC Advanced or Master Technician accreditation
Main dealer experience
Car transporter experience
