HGV Technician
Job description
The HGV Technician position in Derbyshire is actively seeing to employ centres on repairing and servicing of vehicles booked into the workshop. It would suit someone who can bring dependable and self-motivated on the road to the role.
Who the work supports
Please note these roles are offered on an initial 24 month fixed term contract. HGV Technician duties Mechanical repairs, cosmetic repairs, preparation of vehicles for MOT testing and taking vehicles to MOT, as well as routine 6 weekly safety inspections and s.
How support shows up
Responsible for repairing and servicing of vehicles booked into the workshop. Diagnosing faults on vehicles using the latest diagnostic equipment. Stripping fitting and replacing components on vehicles.

What needs to be in place
- HGV Class 1 or 2 beneficial but not essential.
- You must have detailed experience as an HGV Mechanic and be familiar with modern commercial vehicles.
- Any experience working on LCV would also be beneficial as there are some vans in the fleet.

- Annual Bonus, Overtime at 1.5 X, 33 days holiday, enhanced pension scheme, excellent training.
- Carry out repair and maintenance work on both an internal fleet of vehicles and customer vehicles.
- 8am-5.30pm M-F (poss look at 7am-4.30pm).
