HGV Technician

Technician focuses on carry out routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance on hgvs.

What the role involves

• Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance on HGVs.
• Repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
• Repair or replace defective components including engines, gearboxes, braking systems, and transmissions.
• Ensure all repair work is completed to a high standard and within required timescales.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections to identify potential faults or safety concerns.
• Interpret fault codes and technical data to determine appropriate repair solutions.

Skills and requirements

• Proven experience within HGV maintenance.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar transport maintenance role.
• NVQ Level 3 in HGV Service & Maintenance preferred.
• Full Category C+E driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.

Confirmed role details

• Monday to Friday: 6:00am – 4:00pm.
