Job description

HGV2 Flatbed Driver – Hockliffe

Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced HGV2 Flatbed Driver in Hockliffe to transport goods safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of load security and customer service.

Location: Hockliffe
Salary: £17.00 per hour
Working Hours: Full-time hours available
Job Type: Temporary / Ongoing (Immediate Start)

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate HGV2 flatbed vehicles to transport goods to various locations
  • Secure loads correctly to ensure safe transit
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Report maintenance issues promptly
  • Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and driver logs
  • Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding schedules
  • Follow all road transport laws and company procedures
  • Assist with loading and unloading goods when required

    • Essential Skills & Experience

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
  • Valid CPC qualification card
  • Digital tachograph card
  • Previous flatbed driving experience is preferred
  • Strong understanding of load securing methods and regulations
  • Excellent driving record with strong safety focus
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
